The best breakfast in Orange beach! Love it! I bought a coffee cup which looks so cute! Waffles are my favorite one!

Excellent! Loved the City Grits, omelet and the beignets. Service was excellent. Have eaten at several other Another Broken Eggs and the food is always great.

This place is a hit. Also, we went in a bit of a hurry and we were in and out in 20 minutes. Not that they rush you but we were in a rush. I had the southwest eggs and they were great. My other had the Brie and lobster omelette and it was Devine.

We loved this great place. The decor was very attractive and the wait staff exceptional. I chose the steel cut oats with honey, cinnamon, and fresh fruits. Coffee was delicious as were the oats. My companion ordered the omelet with chorizo, English muffin, and chunky hash browns. She liked her choices very much also. I will surely return to this restaurant often to try the other delicious dishes on the menu.

The Bloody Mary's were a very delicious surprise. The pepper-infused vodka definitely added a ton of complexity. What's better than a brunch place with excellent food, friendly service, and a full bar? I had Lafitte's Tortilla, stuffed with egg, chorizo, onions, black beans and mushroom, and my girlfriend ate the veggie burger. Both were quite tasty. Will definitely be back!

First visit to this resturant, and was blown away! Biscuit Beignets are incredible. Sweet Potato pancake was excellent. GREAT service and will go back many more times. A must stop for breakfast if you're in the Gulf Shores / Orange Beach area. Can't wait for the Nashville site to open !

We were nervous because of some negative reviews but man, I'm glad we tried it! We were in and out, great service, and the food was perfection! Large portions, and my omelet was very well seasoned. My husband ordered French toast and he couldn't believe the portion for the price! My daughter had grits and bacon and her grits were creamy without being greasy. We will definitely be back!

Everything was good. I ordered the Oscar Benedict for some reason it wasn't good to me but sometimes your tastebuds can be a little off. The service was fantastic smiling and friendly staff everywhere. The replaced my dish for me and took the other of my bill. I had told them it was me, so that was nice. Bellini's were great.

I had the Crab Cake Cavallo, it was amazing.. nice and quiet atmosphere, we went around 11am-12pm. For starters we had the beignets - it came with a yummy honey orange sauce, it was good, personally I don't like the orange peels in the sauce, but it was a delightful sauce. You can purchase shirts, coffee mugs and some other decor with their business name on it. I got a mug, design was cute and different. I would recommend this place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Our waiter was Derrick he was friendly with everyone in our party especially our children.

Really good food! We love good brunch food and the broken egg sure gave it. We really liked the huevos rancheros and the eggs Benedict with steak. The coffee is really good too. But the mugs are $18 to buy, which is pretty ridiculous!! But great experience overall

Good food and they have vegetarian and gluten free options. They also allow modifications of the selections for allergies. Fast service and very friendly. Highly recommended.

Wow! Best breakfast ever! It looked small from the parking lot so we were pleasantly surprised at how roomy, bright and clean it was when we went in. Friendly host sat us immediately and we were greeted by Sophie. Sweetest waitress I can remember. A combination of genuine kindness, humility and servanthood. If we had a question she couldn't answer(because we kept asking about the ingredients as everything was so delicious) she would ask the chef and we'd have a detailed answer. The food was extraordinary! We started with a mouth watering scrumptious monster cinnamon roll. I ordered the biscuits and gravy. The biscuits were flaky and moist, the gravy was real cream and sausage. The sausage patties were house-made with sage, a little pepper sauce and spices. Also included, perfectly cooked over easy eggs with crisp (but not too crisp) fried potatoes. Fresh coffee served in the quintessential hand made coffee cup. In fact, I bought one. Pricey at $18 but my wife loved them. She said she'd use it a lot more than a t-shirt. She enjoyed the healthier side of breakfast with house made honey granola, blueberry quinoa with fresh fruit and yogurt. An absolutely great brunch experience! :-)

Simply amazing!!! If you're at the beach, you need to get here at least one morning. The French Toast (Hawaiian and Cinnamon Roll) were great. We will definitely be back next time.

I was skeptical when my fiance's aunt said Another Broken Egg was one of the best places to get breakfast around Orange Beach and Gulf Shores. We visited one in Atlanta and were disappointed in the lack of flavor and easy at-home replication of the dishes we got. Based on our stellar experience at this location, I'm wondering if ABEC is a hit-or-miss chain. We came in for breakfast on our way to the beach for the afternoon and sat at the bar because the small dining room was packed. Our server came and greeted us promptly, but we had to wait and remind him of things we needed. He was not only working the bar, he also had to work the surrounding dining area. Clearly they were understaffed that day! We started with the beignets and a cup of coffee while we decided on our main courses. The beignets were good, but more doughy than traditional beignets that you'd get in New Orleans. The honey marmalade perfectly complimented them, too, without being too sweet. I ended up with the Southwest Scramble and really liked it. The potatoes were still the same sad, pre-made potatoes I had at the Atlanta location. Next time I'm going to upgrade to something else. The skillet itself was really good, though. Flavorful and tasted like they knew how to season food in this kitchen. And, it was fun making some breakfast tacos! Overall it was a huge dish and I didn't finish it all. J had the Hey Lucy! and also enjoyed his. Basically when the food hit the table, we stopped talking because we were so focused on our food. And we sent everything back almost, if not completely, empty. I may have to reconsider the locations in Atlanta and give it another shot. Overall, it's very corporate and regulated like other major chains, but the food was good. Maybe this will fall into the "consistent, comfort food" category.

My family and a few friends stopped here on our way home from vacation. The wait for a party of 8 was 45+ minutes, which for a Saturday morning in Orange Beach was understandable, but the hostess looked at our group as if we had just kicked her dog. Her one job is to be friendly and take names, but she was extremely rude and acted annoyed that our party was so large, even though we didn't mind waiting. Our waitress was friendly, but not attentive. I asked for silverware 3 times before getting up to find some myself. I don't remember her name, so going into extreme detail about her service would be irrelevant. I ordered the black bean "Benny", which comes with a poached egg on top - or at least, it's supposed to. My egg, along with everyone else's poached eggs were completely cooked through. It was baffling to me that the word "egg" is in the business name and ALL of our eggs were over cooked. The rest of the food was decent. The service was awful. Our experience at this location is a terrible representation of this restaurant at other locations that we've been to (In Dallas and Houston).

Cherish a good breakfast spot and enjoy it while the Snowbirds aren't here. Another Broken Egg is another success in my book. There able to capture the big three. GREAT SERVICE GREAT PRICES REALLY GOOD FOOD There are about a billion ways to make Huevos Rancheros, and albeit it was different from what I expected, my Huevos Rancheros was very good. Have them put chorizo on it and it amps it up. Service was stellar, no complaints there. I was getting coffee so fast I'm going to have the jitters all day. Orange Beach over the years has suffered from that same ole fried green tomato restaurant. Not that they're bad, but change is necessary and Another Broken Egg is a good change.

Ate breakfast around 930/10am on a Wednesday morning. It was busy but not packed (no wait). Took probably 45-60 mins to get breakfast for 4. Service was poor, no flatware, very few coffee refills. When food finally came it wasn't hot. Food itself was good but the poor service and wait time to receive food was not good. Not impressed. Wouldn't go back. We didn't complain b/c we are here on vacation, weren't in a hurry, and feeling more laid back than normal, but I probably would have complained otherwise. Cost was $50 for breakfast for 4 (2 adults, 2 kids), and really only ordered 3 meals b/c 4 year old ate off everyone else's plate.

I stopped here for Sunday brunch, and I did not know what to expect. I was definitely pleasantly surprised when I saw they had a full bar and made a mean Bloody Mary. I had their traditional breakfast which was tasty and a pancake on the side. It all tasted fresh, and for a big breakfast it was not greasy. This place is definitely a cut above your standard breakfast chain places. It was a good breakfast, and the service was friendly and attentive. I would definitely go back.

The breakfast was wonderful. You have to try their bacon - great service, great atmosphere at an affordable price. We will be back.

Came in with a party of 7 Saturday morning which was suppose to be 35-45 min wait. Two parties of 6 got sat before us that came in after us and three parties of 5. Service was horrible! If you have a large party go elsewhere!

Craig made sure my bacon was crisp, and milk hot for my coffee and local honey to sweeten it. "Eggs Blackstone" was my choice, and it was a wise one! We will arise each morning here in Orange Beach to partake of another amazing breakfast! (Regardless of the fact we had to drive 20minutes.)

This place is a little newer than the one in Birmingham. It is nice and cozy. Had to wait for service. Very cold when we went in. Told them, they fixed it. The meal was great. The best Belgium waffles I ever ate. The sausage was my least favorite. I will be back and spread the word.

We ended up here a couple of times during our recent vacation to Orange Beach. Service was wonderful each and every time and the food was quite good. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great breakfast spot in the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area.

So I hate shopping for Xmas, but there were a few stores in the Gulf Shores/Orange Beach area I wanted to check out, so I drove down from Mobile early. Of course, nothing is open yet. Breakfast. Had not been here before. Had not heard of it before. Hungry though. Took a chance. Looked a wee bit too trendy for me at first, too many pretty people. I'm not a looker but that didn't deter me, because hungry. So I go in, get seated and then wait. I'm guessing that the wait staff wasn't so eager to serve a lone, somewhat disheveled looking person wearing a grungy hoodie and jeans. But hey, it's early and I hate shopping. Finally after a few minutes one of the servers asked me if I'd been served yet. I replied I hadn't so she took my beverage order for a coffee and water and returned in a few minutes. She declared that even though this wasn't her section, I was now hers. She took my order for the Supreme omelette, country potatoes and an English muffin. Fed soon I would be! The food arrived post haste and was quite good. Now I'm no breakfast snob but I've had my fair share of omelettes and this one ranked up there. The potatoes were nice and crispy but not too greasy. My lovely server checked up on me regularly. She was quite cheery and personable, despite the fact that I was a lone diner which I'm sure only spelled meager tip in her mind. When I was ready for a refill she not only filled my mug but brought me a to-go cup as well. The bill was under $15 for everything, including my super friendly server, so I paid with a $20 and left the change. Oh yeah, Santa Claus came in too. The food and decor alone were worth 4 stars, but my awesome server kicked it up to a 5.

Wow, the black bean Benedict is out of this world crazy good!!! Not a fan of poached eggs so had it with soft scrambled instead. The city grits (no bacon please!) were cheesy goodness. We have been to several other locations in Florida and this one is just as good with great service and quality food. My husband said he prefers this to the other popular breakfast option in Orange Beach.

    (5)
  • Sarah T.

This is a well deserved 5 starts! The grits were to die for (recommend the city grits) They make their own sausage patties that are also a win in my book. My daughter loved the pancakes and bacon. There are also lunch items like burgers which my dad said was good.

I will start be saying that the Chocolate Dream coffee drink they have is really good. My husband and I had the Lobster and Brie Omelet and Crab cake Cavallos Benedict. My omelet had no seasoning nor did the cream cheese filling. The hollandaise on the benedict looked like it was instant powder mix with no seasoning either. I will say the eggs were cook very well and it seems like they are trying to do something different than any where else. As far as the service going I will give it am F. The girl we got did not say anything except what would you like and how is everything. Then gave us the bill when I was in the middle of my food and still wanted to order another drink. Not something I would want to go out of my way for.

The food was good but the service was lacking. Would I go back? Yes but with a different server. No refills were ever offered and the waiter only showed up twice. We sat waiting for ticket for 10 minutes. Busboy came by and cleaned table before we got ticket.

First time to this location. server very friendly. I had the app grits (with bacon and onions and tomatoes etc) and 3 pancakes. Very good breakfast spot. My husband had an omelette and devoured it. I do not think they cut their potatoes fresh I think they're frozen, didn't taste good to me. Best breakfast spot around. Will be going back.

Fantastic place for breakfast! We started with the biscuit beignets and they were so good they didn't need the orange marmalade that came with. My husband had Stan's Mardi Gras omelette and it was spectacular. I have to try cinnamon roll French toast anywhere I see it on the menu but I may have to stop now...nowhere else will come close to this. I was sad when I had some left and was full so my kids helped me finish and agreed it was awesome. Sweet but not too sweet and plenty of berries for a fresh note. My oldest had a side of biscuits and gravy and practically licked the plate clean. Fast, friendly service. You have to stop here if you are in the area.

Stopped by for a birthday brunch. I had visited other locations in Atlanta and Destin. It did not disappoint We had the biscuit beignets for an app. They were hot and delicious. I had the cinnamon roll french toast which was awesome. My friend ordered the pancakes and they were huge. Bacon was great and the cheese grits were pretty good. Good experience and I will be back next time I'm in Orange Beach.

A hidden treasure that was excellent in every way. Great floor plan, clean and casual atmosphere, upscale enough to keep the special feeling that you were dining out. Excellent service from attentive, skilled waitstaff and amazing food. Broad selection of omelettes, Benedicts, sandwiches, salads, with unusual recipes and fresh ingredients. Coffee is full bodied and is made just for them, though you can buy it there. Menu is reasonably priced and I look forward to trying every dish on it.

Three strikes and you are out. We are seasonal residents in Orange Beach and have tried this place 3 times since it opened. We were very excited because the menu is great but unfortunately the execution is lacking. The service has gotten better since they opened which is expected but the food has not. One of our dishes is always luke warm to cool, today it was the veggie omelet and the hash browns. Our server was very nice and attentive but the quality of food for the price is not worth it. We won't be back.

This is exactly what you want to find when trying a new place in a vacation town! Great breakfast with friendly service! The pancakes?Homemade for real and super good. Eggs Blackstone is off the chain awesome! We will comeback! Craig the waiter was very nice and made us feel welcomed! The coffee is great.they brought local honey and steamed milk upon request! With a great attitude! My kind of place!

Excellent service and a great breakfast! The best breakfast I've had in years! I had the Stan's Mardi Gras and my wife had the Hey Lucy-both omelettes. City grits are divine and we will be back.
